Prior to joining von Rohr, Franziska Spaetling worked as a Surveyor at LRQA Deutschland GmbH in the field of Inspection Services. In this role, she carried out conformity assessments of materials and components in accordance with international standards and customer specifications, including in the oil and gas industry, metal processing, offshore applications, and the nuclear sector. Before that, she spent several years as a technical customer advisor for aerospace applications at Deutsche Edelstahlwerke Specialty Steel GmbH & Co. KG, where she supported customer and process audits, handled complaints and failure analyses, and advised customers on optimal material selection.
Franziska Spaetling completed her studies in mechanical engineering with a specialization in materials engineering at Ruhr University Bochum in 2014, graduating with a Master of Science degree. She wrote her master’s thesis at Daimler AG in Ulm, where she worked on the characterization of coating systems in cylinder liners compatible with biofuels and poor spray conditions.
With her extensive experience in materials engineering, quality assurance, and industrial manufacturing, Franziska Spaetling brings solid technical expertise and a deep understanding of complex technical interrelationships to her work at von Rohr. This enables her to analyze sophisticated technical matters with precision and to assess them on a sound technical basis.
