In November 2018, Alexandra Bettermann joined the partnership von Rohr as a patent attorney candidate with the aim of successfully training as a patent attorney.
In the course of her previous doctorate as well as her studies in Chemistry at the University of Hamburg, which she completed in 2014, Alexandra Bettermann conducted in-depth research on medicinal-chemical topics, such as the optimization of the availability of active drugs at their site of action. The results of these studies have been published in several renowned scientific journals and presented at international conferences.
In addition, Alexandra Bettermann worked on bioanalytical topics such as the structural elucidation of glycoproteins, which are relevant as tumor markers for example. During a research stay at the University of Seville, Spain, the chemical modification of naturally occurring sugar derivatives constituted the focus of her research.
Since the beginning of her studies in Chemistry in 2008, Alexandra Bettermann was able to complement her general chemical expertise with a special focus on bioorganic chemistry as well as organic synthesis chemistry.
