Dr. Tobias Förster

Tobias Förster joined von Rohr in 2016 with the aim of successfully completing his training as a patent attorney. At the same time, he is also currently studying law for patent attorneys at the FernUnversität Hagen.

Tobias Förster completed his doctoral studies in the field of theoretical solid state physics at the University of Münster and graduated in July 2016 with the award of a doctorate in natural sciences.

In his doctorate, in which he further explored the subject of his master’s thesis, he dealt with the extraordinary electronic properties of topological insulators, a novel class of materials, and with theoretical methods describing and calculating them. The results of his work have been published in renowned journals and presented in various contributions at international conferences.

Furthermore, Tobias Förster worked on a research project in France during his master studies in physics.

The technically focused bachelor thesis of Tobias Förster was created in an experimental group.
