Dirk-Karsten Schleitzer is a founding partner of the patent law firm von Rohr. As a German patent attorney, European patent attorney and European trademark and design attorney, he advises highly innovative national and international companies in all aspects of intellectual property. In the context of his activities as a patent attorney, he is specialized in trademark and patent litigations.

Well before the foundation of the patent law firm von Rohr, Dirk-Karsten Schleitzer was a partner of a large patent law firm in the Ruhr area for many years. Prior to his admission as a patent attorney, he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Engineering in 2003 in the context of his work as a project engineer and scientific assistant at the Fraunhofer-Institute UMSICHT for environmental, safety and energy technology. His dissertation, which was supervised by the University of Dortmund, was preceded by studies in mechanical engineering with a specific focus in process engineering at the University of Bochum and vocational training for medical technical laboratory assistants.

As a member of the managing committee of the entrepreneurs’ association innoexperience, Dirk-Karsten Schleitzer is involved in regional networks for the enhancement of innovation processes, in particular in medium-sized companies located in North-Rhine Westphalia.
