His special focus is on the preparation and execution of litigations and, in particular, in patent and trademark law. In addition, Jörg Michael Weidener has extensive expertise in the field of the law on employee inventions.

Before the foundation of the patent law firm von Rohr, Jörg Michael Weidener was a partner in a nationally and internationally successful firm in the Ruhr area and a patent attorney in an international firm with offices in Munich, Herne and Alicante.

Having graduated in mining engineering and technologies from Technical University of Clausthal-Zellerfeld in 1988, he gained both theoretical and practical experience in South Africa, a mining nation, before finding his way to intellectual property.

Jörg Michael Weidener has trained and educated patent attorney trainees for many years and has been a member of the examination committee for patent attorney trainees for several years.
