Georg Späth joined von Rohr in October 2025 as a trainee patent attorney, with the aim of qualifying as a German Patent Attorney.
Georg studied Chemistry at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, completing his studies in 2017. He subsequently carried out his doctoral research in the field of total synthesis of natural products at the Max Planck Institute for Coal Research in Mülheim an der Ruhr. His work focused on the efficient synthesis of biologically active macrolide antibiotics, as well as the development and application of advanced methodologies in (metal-)organic synthetic chemistry. Parts of his research have been published in several peer-reviewed journals.
Following his PhD, Georg spent nearly three years working as a researcher in Switzerland at an international agrochemical company. During this time, he applied his expertise and practical skills in active ingredient research, contributing to the development of innovative solutions in the field of plant and soil health.
