M.Sc. Engineering<\/h3>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”maxHeight”]Jan Berndt joined VON ROHR in April 2022 as a researcher, with the long-term aim of patent attorney training. As a researcher, his task is to determine relevant state of the art with the help of different research tools. This includes both quick overview research concerning the state of the art, e.g. for evaluating the protectability of inventions, as well as more detailed research, to determine relevant third party property rights or to prepare complex settlement or invalidity trials. Furthermore, design and trademark research are part of his field of activity.<\/p>\n

Before joining VON ROHR, Jan Berndt worked several years in the automotive industry with a focus on component investigations and testing, already participating with his knowledge and technical comprehension in a significant manner. For example, he was in charge for establishing and supervising the rig test section.<\/p>\n

Jan Berndt finished his studies in mechanical in engineering with a focus on vehicle drive technology in 2014 with the degree \u201cMaster of Science\u201d. In his master thesis, he dealt with tribological wear investigations on one cylinder combined heat and power units.<\/p>\n

M.Sc. Engineering<\/h3>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Jan Berndt trat der Soziet\u00e4t von Rohr<\/span> im April 2022 als Rechercheur bei, und zwar mit dem Ziel der Ausbildung zum Patentanwalt. Als Rechercheur befasst sich Herr Berndt mit der Ermittlung des relevanten Standes der Technik mit Hilfe von verschiedenen Recherchetools. Dazu geh\u00f6ren sowohl die Durchf\u00fchrung schneller \u00dcbersichtsrecherchen zum Stand der Technik beispielsweise zur Bewertung der Schutzf\u00e4higkeit von Erfindungen als auch umfangreicher Recherchen zur Ermittlung von entgegenstehenden Schutzrechten Dritter oder zur Vorbereitung von komplexen Einspruchs- und Nichtigkeitsverfahren. Zus\u00e4tzlich zu Patentrecherchen geh\u00f6ren auch Design- und Markenrecherchen zu seinem Aufgabenbereich.<\/p>\n

Vor seiner T\u00e4tigkeit bei von Rohr<\/span> hat Jan Berndt mehrere Jahre in der Automobilzulieferindustrie mit dem Schwerpunkt auf Bauteilanalyse und -erprobung gearbeitet und sein Wissen und technisches Verst\u00e4ndnis bereits hier ma\u00dfgeblich eingebracht. Unter anderem war er in weiten Teilen verantwortlich f\u00fcr Aufbau und Betreuung des Pr\u00fcfstandsbereichs.<\/p>\n

Jan Berndt hat sein Maschinenbaustudium der Vertiefungsrichtung Kraftfahrzeugantriebstechnik an der Ruhr-Universit\u00e4t Bochum im Jahr 2014 erfolgreich mit dem Grad \u201eMaster of Science\u201c abgeschlossen. In seiner Masterarbeit besch\u00e4ftigte er sich mit tribologischen Verschlei\u00dfuntersuchungen an Blockheizkraftwerken.<\/p>\n
